Camp Organization Made Easy!

There is NOTHING more annoying than trying to complete a task in camp or trying to get ready when your stuff is all over the place. For years I've watched people try to work out of their packs, try to leave stuff "laying on a rock", and other solutions, only to go running when a little afternoon rain blows in, or the spiders and ants move in at night. It'd exhausting, and it's not what I want to remember about my trips.
About five years ago while lying in a hammock I thought up a solution to hang some of my gear up. Now I run Hennessy Hammocks almost exclusively.I love having the integrated ridge line with a ridgeline pocket and it's great to put some of my small items in. When I'm tarp camping, whether it is my Tentsmith's tarps, or my DD Hammocks tarps, I run a ridgeline in multiple configurations. It's just nice having that structure, and what I've figured out is, I really enjoy having it for hanging lights, and storage as well. Here's how:
I designed the "Booger Hook". I've been running these on ridgelines for years to accompany my prusiks and other solutions to hang up my small gear I want to have easy access to like shoes, small lights, water bottles, etc. I love having small lightweight hooks that I can just clip on, and get my gear out of the way.

One of my now 5-year-old Booger Hooks hanging in my hammock.
When I tear down, I just wad them up in my hammock as well.
No sharp corners make for no snags or tears.
In addition to these tiny hooks, I use some gear that I carry specifically for the purpose of storage once I get to camp. As most of your know by now, I run a modified ALICE pack a LOT, ILBE, and custom packs, but almost all of them are bucket packs. So I utilize pouches for my storage. I have found, over the years, that CampCraft Outdoors gets the job done for me. Really rock solid kit that I can use over and over again to keep my gear stowed and protected. I use one of their pouches right now as a "glove compartment" to stow my gear that I keep in my pockets when it's time to go to bed. I toss in my wallet, my keys, my pocket knives, spare mags, cigarette lighter, and all those goodies in the pouch that lays up by my head. What a game-changer. I can sleep comfortably without jangling like a windchime throughout the night and I'm much less likely to pop my air mattress... or liver... with the awl on my knife, or a lockpick, or what have you that finds its way into my pockets.

No ring of power... but like... 3 cough drops and a lighter?
Here's a quick video of pouches that I use:
Make sure you swing by the website and order a set of Booger Hooks for your setup! I 3D print these in-house so I can sell em cheap as I want! They're on sale now!
